Designed for use on an range, this is a control panel assembly. It is often referred to as the touchpad. This part houses the selection buttons and display components for the unit. The purpose of the control panel is to control all of the functions of the oven. There are buttons for each function, such as bake, broil, light, and timer. When one or more of the range buttons do not work, it is possible that the control panel assembly has gone bad. Over time, the buttons may begin to wear and the user may wish to replace this part for cosmetic purposes. Be sure to unplug the unit from its power source before trying to replace this part. This particular control panel assembly is compatible with electric ranges that have been manufactured by the Whirlpool and Jenn-Air brands. It is sourced from the manufacturer and is sold individually.
So, this is a common problem, and the fourth time I have done this for someone in by neighborhood. Takes about 10 minutes, and requires very little skill. You simply unscrew the oven from it's mount points, pull it out a little bit, remove the four sheet metal screws holding the panel in place, unplug electronics, and plug the new panel in. Just did my neighbors with this one, too 8 minutes for the whole project. Kinda sad the original Whirlpool/Maytag/Jenn-air (they are all the same basically,... Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more
This high-temperature gasket seals the oven door to the cabinet. Replacing a worn seal helps your oven preheat more efficiently, hold steady temperatures, and reduces heat and vapor escaping around the door edge.
I replaced the old control panel with a new one. I also changed out the door seal to help prevent the control panel from going bad a second time. It was the heat from the oven getting to the keypad on the control panel that caused it to go bad. Read more

Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years... I removed the burners, which were rusted and needed some tapping. They were pretty stubborn to remove from the insert. I removed the spark igniters, which were rusted where they screwed into the burner and then removed the venturi tubes.. Once this was done, I installed the new igniters to the underside of the new burner. I then installed the burners, which only took simple placement and a quarter turn to lock them in. I then hooked up the igniter wire to the new spark igniters. The repair... Read more
Restore proper top heat to your oven with this broil element. It delivers the intense, even radiant heat needed for broiling, so foods brown and sear correctly when the original element fails or is damaged.
This is a single piece of glass, you must reuse the window frame.
Removed 3 screws on top of door, 3 screws on bottom if door which released glass front. Then removed 4 nuts on sheet metal window cover to get to window. To get to the broken glass there was one tab on the corner of the window frame that had to be bent upward to loosen the frame. Removed the broken glass, slid in the new glass, re tightened the frame and put everything back together. It took me a little longer than it should have because I forgot the reverse order for putting it back... Read more

After checking on-line and watching several YOUTUBE University videos on the topic, I felt I could change the hinges myself. I started a search for the Jenn-Air/Whirlpool hinge part no. WP74010283. This is an electronic clock control board that is made for use with ovens and microwave/oven combination appliances. It is located at the back middle of the range and includes a small display window. The control panel is used to manage the oven functions like baking and broiling. It also includes a clock to show the time of day.If the oven cannot be changed from bake to broil, it may indicate the part is no longer working. A test of the heating elements can determine whether this is the case. Before starting the replacement process, make sure the range is not plugged into the wall and the oven and cooktop are both cool. Open the oven door to access the screws that hold the control board. Unclip the ribbon connection before removing the part. Reverse the process to install the new part. The electronic clock control board is sold as a single part. It is an authentic OEM replacement part that is compatible with wall ovens and microwave/oven combos from Jenn Air.
This couldn't have been simpler! Removed the glass panel by taking out 4 screws on the bottom that were accessed by opening the oven door. Lifted up, then pulled the panel forward, released one electrical connection, and the panel was disconnected and could be laid on a flat surface. Unscrewed the four nut screws on the old control board with a socket set (you could use a small wrench, but it would be tedious), un-clipped the wide ribbon connection ( had to pry it off very gently to avoid...
