This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. Although I only needed to replace the drawer support (end cap) on the right side the kit comes with replacements for both sides. I was surprised to see that the air flow adjustment mechanism that is located on the right side end cap was not included. I should mention that I did not disassemble the drawer mechanisms before ordering the end cap(s). The kit contained only the two molded end caps - no fasteners, mechanisms, or anything else. I bought new gaskets, which were expensive! At least the repair was easy. Pulled out the old ones, pressed in the new ones. Had to redo them because I didn't notice the little flaps that need to be covering the space in the middle, between the doors. So, pulled them off, and turned them around, and pressed them on again. Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy.
