Heating element not working? This mounting screw securely fastens the heating element in place. A simple DIY repair that takes about 20 minutes to complete.
We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. We used small craft clothes pins to keep wires from going behind the built in oven. We used a small diameter screw driver to match up holes before putting... Read more
Replacement hinge for oven doors. Allows smooth opening and closing. Replace if cracked, bent, or causing door misalignment. Sold individually.
For the third time in four years, the hinges failed on my KitchenAid wall oven. The appliance is out of warranty and KitchenAid does not consider this to be worthy of any recall. I was tired of paying the appliance repairman to change out the hinges, so I ordered the part online. Appliance Parts Pros is an awesome site for identifying the part you need, and they deliver quickly. Note that you probably need TWO hinges--they do not come as a set--and KitchenAid likes to make their model numbers... Read more

Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. The Door Insulation is a very involved repair, and best to follow specific repair manual instructions. Door... Read more
Seals the light lens to the oven cavity, blocking heat, steam, and grease from the bulb housing. Replace if cracked, brittle, or missing. Confirm fit.
Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years... Following the instructions that I received through the helpful research of the APP staff, I disconnected the power, disassembled the back of the oven, and accessed the hidden element. This involved bending parts of the sheet metal and cutting the insulation, so I was very apprehensive about doing this. Once I exposed the compartment that contains the element, I had difficulty extracting the old part and was really nervous about pulling hard to extract it - until I saw the damaged element. It... Replaces cracked, shattered, or stained oven door glass. Restores clear viewing and proper heat sealing. Available as inner or outer pane replacement.
I ordered a replacement glass from Appliance Part Pros on Friday evening and it was delivered on Monday morning. It was packed well and I appreciated the quick delivery. I watched the Appliance Part Pros video and it was not helpful because it was for a different door but it did have some useful advice. I checked for a few other hints on the internet and then went to work. The door on my oven had to be removed by opening it to the first stop, about four inches, after removing two locking... I have a 10 year old Kitchenaid double oven with warming drawer below and electrical connection is located in cabinet below. I order a service manual from http://www.allrepairmanuals.com. If you have the service manual follow it, it walks a technician thru each step. If you don't have a manual here are a few highlights. After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. APPro's online instructions were easy to follow, in a couple hours it was apart, and I placed the order. Reg ground took a week from NY, so the laundry piled up that week. The parts arrived on Monday morrning, by afternoon the machine was running like new! The cause was the belt tensioner pulley had frozen. Replaced it, drum wheels,snap... Read more
Replacement mounting screw for securing panels, brackets, covers, and trim pieces in appliances. Restores fit when hardware is missing, stripped, or lost.
I recently shattered the outer glass on my Whirlpool oven door. (Side note for lesson learned...don't swat at a fly with a broom when its on the oven door. I didnt swing hard just a love tap but thats all it took ha ha) The toughest part of the fix was removing the broken glass as it had shattered into hundreds...no thousands of pieces. Thankfully it was taped on the inside and that held some of it together. I placed the door in our garbage can and put on a pair of gloves with a scraper to... Read more
Replacement door hinge for ovens and ranges. Supports door weight and controls opening/closing motion. Replace if cracked, bent, or worn out.
I replaced the hinges, which involved removing the door by opening it all the way, inserting a small allen wrench into the locking pin hole on each of the two hinges, partially closing the door and pulling it toward me. I then laid the door stainless steel face up on a table, removed the 8 screws from the edge and pulled the bottom of the face up and toward me. The hinges lie loose in their compartments, so it's easy to pluck them out and drop the new ones in. To retrieve my allen wrenches... Read more
