This infinite switch controls power to a 6-inch surface element on an electric range or cooktop, allowing smooth heat adjustment from low to high. Replace a worn switch to restore consistent burner control and cooking performance.
Trial and error only cooktop unit. Everything mounted into the counter and needed to pull unit out. I figured it was a control switch or the burner itself. Based on costs, I took the less expensive route and replaced the 2 known malfunctioning switches. All on-line videos said it was a 2-3 hour process to replace. I finished mine in less than 30 minutes. Turned breaker back on and it works like a charm. 30 years old and still going strong. Read more
This surface heating element restores reliable heat to an electric range or cooktop's top burner. Replace a failed or damaged element to bring back even, responsive heating for everyday cooking. What it does:
First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. Due to the weight of the glass, all actions have to be done carefully as I broken one corner of the glass couple of years ago when I replaced one of the control switch. Read more

After being told by a service repairman that it would cost me close to $200 to repair, I resolved to just not use the dispenser. After about a year, I had decided that I wanted to repair it and would look at the options myself. At the least, I could figure out which parts were needed to repair it and have them on hand for a service guy if I determined I could not do the job myself. The more I studied it, the more I felt confident that I could do it, and sure enough, when the part arrived - a... Read more
This radiant surface element uses a ribbon-style heater to provide even heat beneath a glass-ceramic cooktop. Replace a failing burner to restore consistent, reliable heating on the affected cooking zone.
I replaced both the element and the switch. It was a relatively easy fix, although I needed a second set of hands to hold the stovetop upright while I did the replacement. The entire job took about 45-60 minutes. Read more
This blower wheel mounts on the drive motor and pushes air through the dryer drum and out the exhaust. Replacing a worn wheel restores proper airflow for consistent drying and helps prevent overheating and nuisance shutdowns. What it does:
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

I read different reviews and believed the problem was most likely the switch had failed. I confirmed the proper switch for my Model number with a very helpful Pro and ordered a new roll of tape that protects the glass top and seals the union of glass to the counter. In my case, the cooktop did not have any flanges stabilizing the cooktop so I could remove a drawer below the cooktop and push up on the cooktop to separate it from the counter. It was simply removing screws with a nut driver or... Read more
A replacement gasket that seals the infinite (surface) control switch to the cooktop or console, helping keep moisture, grease and debris out of the switch area for cleaner operation and a better seal. What it does
Simple 10 minute swap out. Power off the cook top, removed the knob and rubber seal, used a small phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws securing the switch, removed access cover below and pulled the defective switch out, replace the gasket on the new switch and reconnect the wires. Position the new switch in the panel noting that the D shape must be oriented correctly and secure the 2 phillips screws. Re-attatch the access panel, replace the rubber seal and knob. Ordered a new switch (4456027) from you. You seemed to have the best price and guaranteed that it was a OEM part -not everybody did. I had repaired Jenn Air cook tops before so I thought this was not a problem. Wrong. Mostly it was my own stupidity. I exchanged the wires from the old switch to the new one at a time but did write down where the original wires went. Flipped the breakers back on. Only one heater got hot. Searched the internet for several days for a wiring diagram. Nothing much.... Read more
This is a genuine lock nut replacement. This is a general piece of hardware that is often used on several types of lawn and garden equipment, including in engines, housing, and other areas. The exact application of this part will vary based on the unit. The lock nut is used to create a more secure seal than a standard nut. When properly secured, the lock nut tightens to a bolt and uses an extra locking washer with teeth to ensure a snug fit.If lock washers do get damaged or lost, they need to be replaced immediately with a genuine OEM replacement. This model is compatible with all types of machines and units since it is a generic part. The washer is sold as an individual part and manufactured by Whirlpool. Lock nuts will need to be installed using a socket wrench or adjustable wrench. Pliers, a screwdriver, or another socket wrench will be needed to hold the bolt while the lock nut is being secured in place. Be sure to thread the lock nut carefully to ensure a strong seal and avoid stripping the bolt or the nut.
