Turned power off. Unscrewed the two vertical trim pieces and the bottom trim piece(stainless). Slid microwave out a few inches. Unscrewed the two screws on the inside of the door toward the top that are recessed in the black plastic. (Besure to hold the door assembly together while doing this so you don't accidently drop the glass door). This exposed the bottom two springs. Usually one has a paint mark on the end to tell them apart. Replaced and put back together. Read more

Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. The electric connection clips to the motor required needle nose pliers to pull them off. The tray coupler was simple to install after the motor was secured and bottom plate was replaced.. Read more

We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. The handle from the previous door must be removed and attached to the new door. If you only want to do this once, make sure when reattaching the old handle/bracket that it is aligned left-to-right and is parallel to the edge of the new door. The holes in the new door are large enough that the door will be skewed if not well aligned.
