DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more

The original gasket was popping loose and not always noticeable when loading. Followed video for removal, cleaning channel with q-tips, and installation of new gasket. Read more

With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)... Read more

Replaced the vent assembly on KitchenAid dishwasher. Straight forward job by removing front panel. Ordered the air vent gasket in addition to the vent assembly, but didn't need the ngasket since the vent assembly included one. Read more

Had three issues, this fixed two. The latch wasn't sometimes failing during the wash cycle and the dishwasher door was coming open slightly which was fixed. Also fixed broken adjuster that I had rigged with a zip tie temporarily. Didn't fix it having issues closing, but ordered an additional part to fix. While at my sister's house, she showed me how to access & dismantle the housing unit on her dishwasher, thinking the issue might be from that area. The repair took less than 5 minutes. It is too bad that just the rubber seal is not available. Seems wasteful to have to replace the whole tube when nothing else was wrong with it. We also needed a new cap for the jet dry container. The cap alone was not listed but I looked at caps that were available for other units and crossed it over. Read more

I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. Used the vinyl touch up paint on the tops of posts and slid vinyl tips over 130 posts. The paint acts as an adhesive to keep the tips secure. Read more
