Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You 2 maytag smooth top stove burners were not turning all the way on   Pamela R. • Indianapolis , IN • March 25, 2018

Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days. The tricky part was figuring out how to get into the stove top. I was a few youtube videos to see different replacement. My husband and I got the stove top off and flipped it over on the counter. Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more
