Tub To Pump Hose
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP21001915

The Washer Tub to Pump Hose is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This hose connects the washer tub to the drain pump, facilitating the proper drainage of water from the tub during the wash and spin cycles.

Causes of a bad tub to pump hose can include wear and tear from frequent use, blockages from lint or debris, and damage from overloading the washer or mishandling during maintenance.

Symptoms of a bad tub to pump hose include:

  • Leaks during the wash or spin cycles
  • Water not draining properly from the washer
  • Visible cracks, holes, or wear in the hose
  • Unusual noises during the drain cycle

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer was leaking while draining   Travis K. • Jersey Shore , PA • October 10, 2014

My husband is a natural handyman, I call him Bob the Builder (don't tell him I told you that!). When our washer started leaking we started looking for a used one online, when that didn't work he figured he'd take it apart and see if he could find the problem himself. Well after doing some research online we replaced the drain pump, which in the long run was a good idea because ours wasn't in very good condition, but our washer still leaked. So after some more looking around he found a hole on... Read more

This cam fits between the refrigerator door and hinge to create smooth, controlled movement and a self-closing feel. Replacing a worn cam restores proper door alignment and gasket contact to help maintain temperature and reduce frost or moisture.

  • Works with the hinge to guide door movement and provide a detent/self-close action
  • Helps keep the door aligned for an even gasket seal and smoother opening/closing
  • Worn cam symptoms can include clicking/popping at the hinge, a door that sags, swings open, or won't fully close without lifting/pushing
  • Contribute to temperature fluctuations or condensation if the door doesn't seal consistently
What's included: 1 cam Install notes:
  • Disconnect power; unload and support the door to prevent damage

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lid switch was not turning on, washer filled but didn't wash spin etc   George J. • Hopewell , IL • March 02, 2020

I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. One lesson is when you pull off the controls, the hose leading... Read more

Lid Switch (Washer)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP22003804

This washer lid switch is the safety interlock that tells the machine the lid is closed. Replacing a worn switch restores proper spin and cycle operation and helps prevent nuisance shutoffs when the lid is bumped or opened.

  • Detects lid position and enables washer operation only when the lid is closed
  • Interrupts power with the lid open for user safety
  • Typical symptoms of failure: washer won't start or won't spin, stops mid-cycle, or runs only when pressing down on the lid
  • Mechanical position sensor; it does not lock the lid
What's included: 1 lid switch Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; verify the tub is fully stopped
  • Access is typically from the main top or cabinet—remove screws or release spring clips as designed
  • Note wire routing and mounting orientation; transfer any existing hardware and secure the ground as originally installed
  • Test lid-close operation before reassembling and running a cycle

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer didn't spin during spin cycle   Ronney S. • Miami , FL • February 09, 2017

I had removed three screws behind the control board cover of the washer, to access the old lid switch. I checked the continuety of the of the switch with a multimeter and it obviously failed the the test by displaying infinity of <1, rather than being 0. I removed the old switch with a flathead screw driver, I tested the new one and installed it in no time. Problem solved!!! Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Severe vibration during washer spin cycle.   Robert G. • Richmond , VA • January 15, 2018

I followed the Appliance Parts Pro's advice videos for the Maytag MAV6451AWW Atlantis washer on replacing the snubber ring and the suspension springs. Everything went just fine except replacing the two rear most suspension springs. None of the videos illustrated REINSTALLING the REAR springs which is extremely difficult because you can't get enough leverage with your arm extended. Observing my frustration, my wife recommended taking off the back side. You can't simply take off the back,... Read more
