I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more

First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. This is the circulation pump motor that drives water through the spray arms during the wash and rinse cycles in a dishwasher. It pressurizes water so it can reach and clean dishes effectively. Replace this motor if the dishwasher fills with water but doesn't spray, makes a humming noise without circulating water, or if dishes are coming out dirty despite proper detergent use.
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place).
