Full disassembly of removable tray into top plate (stainless) and lower pan taking care not to loose fasteners. Removal of terminal blocks using lubrication on rusted screws and, if necessary, drill out technique. Unclip wires from edges of the tray on both sides without losing the clips for future re-use. Removed old handle and install new. Found that I should have order two screws. The drawing was not clear on how many screws held the handle on. The screw goes on very hard, so you have to use lots of force to turn it into place. ( must be to prevent it from loosening after installing. Read more

These drip pans fit! I had bought some from a local big box store and they didn't fit. I only wish they still made them without the holes in the bottom of the drip pan. Replace burner and receptacle. The product arrived promptly after order and the receptacle came in a factory Whirlpool bag, indicating it was a genuine Whirlpool part. I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! • Oven not heating evenly

Ordered new screws and door gasket. Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Read more

Replaced the hinge receiver with a new one. The old one was bent slightly inside where it could not be seen. I think someone pushed the door down to far or fell on it. 2 screws to remove it, take out storage drawer and reach up little ways to remove and replace the receiver. Replace the 2 screws. The receiver comes with 2 screws but I ordered an extra ( never used it ). The sides of the receiver were spread just a tiny bit but were enough to cause a problem. Read more

Start by removing the frame on the sides and bottom of the door. (Do not unscrew the corner screw holding the side frame and bottom together.) Be careful the glass will fall once the last screw is removed from the bottom so hold tight. Carefully remove glass and set aside. Remove top frame that held the handle.
