I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. The new gasket arrived in a box half the size of the gasket so the gasket was folded to fit into the box. I hung the new gasket up for a couple of hours and then just prior to installation used a hair dryer as per included instructions to soften the gasket and minimize minor wrinkles in the gasket. The old gasket came out easily and the new went in easily. A 5 minute job in total. Read more
Extends and retracts freezer drawer in bottom-mount refrigerators. Replace if the spring broke, plastic tab cracked, or drawer won't close properly.
There are videos on You Tube,. After removing the bottom basket, you remove the entire drawer including the door together with it, by using a screwdriver to depress the white clip on each drawer slide which releases the slide from body of the freezer. Once you pull our the entire drawer, you will need to drill out a rivet to remove the old slide. You will need a rivet gun to attach the new slide. Read more
