Seals refrigerator door to keep cool air in and prevent condensation. Replace if cracked, moldy, or not sealing properly. Verify fit with model number.
The new gasket arrived in a box half the size of the gasket so the gasket was folded to fit into the box. I hung the new gasket up for a couple of hours and then just prior to installation used a hair dryer as per included instructions to soften the gasket and minimize minor wrinkles in the gasket. The old gasket came out easily and the new went in easily. A 5 minute job in total. Read more

Ice not dispensing? A worn auger drive bar with stripped threads prevents ice from moving through the chute. Moderate DIY repair with video guidance.
I replaced the auger motor. You have to remove complete ice maker. Everything is just like help video to do except yoke dispenser. I watched video several times. Yoke will not just tap loose, after 30 minutes of tapping, I was using screwdriver to brace. I used a Dremel tool to cut part of shaft, came off easy then. After that, the repair went great. I have ice, I noticed motor I received was stronger. Parts came on time stated and worked great. I will order again on other repairs. Read more

All I needed was a $5 piece to fix my fridge, but without it I couldn't even us it. I ordered the part after 4:00 pm and had the new part shipped from Kentucky to NJ and had it by 10:00 am the next morning! Amazing! Great company. Read more
Humidity control slide for refrigerator crisper drawers. Replace this plastic slide if the lever tab has snapped off, cracked, or broken during use.
Had to take the back cover off. It was very tight to remove the fan that sat in the drip pan but did get it off, was able to apply the same level of cursing and got the new pan installed, installing the drain tube was a breeze. Found the parts price very reasonable. Hoping the Whirlpool redesigned the pan so I won't have to do it ever again. I was surprised at how bad the quality of their original part was. Probably saved myself $150.00 on buying the part and doing it myself Read more
Replacement dispenser actuator pads for refrigerator ice and water controls. Installs on dispenser housing. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn.
Replaced the actuator pad on the Whirlpool Gold Series, releasing the electronic menu pad to get to the water activator pad was the biggest hurdle. Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or clicks but won't start. This compressor start relay activates your cooling system. DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
I went to appliancepartspros.com and described the symptoms which led to replacing the capacitor. The part arrived the next day!!! Unfortunately the clicking and warmness remained. I went to the online chat and Mandie recommended the relay which was next in the chain before the dreaded compressor. Once again the part arrived the next morning! I snapped it in and I was back in business, 90 dollars total in the two parts. No service call with the standard "it's the compressor" diagnosis. ... Read more
Bypass cap replaces water filter when filtration isn't needed. Install when using RO system or preferring unfiltered water. Confirm fit with your model.
Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. For the not-so-experts like me it is also good to rememebr to have a bucket to collect all the water that comes out after the connection to the solenoid valves is... Read more
Stores and chills water inside the fresh-food section for steady dispenser flow. Replace this tank if cracked, leaking, or blocked to restore proper operation.
Every six months I change my refrigerator filter. I purchased a new filter (UKF8001) and installed it just like I've done many times before. This time, when I first used the water dispenser, I got a horrible sound (kind of like a jack hammer/vibration) followed by very little water flow. I disconnected the new filter and reinstalled the old filter, thinking maybe I got a bad filter. No improvement. I removed the filter and put the bypass cap on and everything returned to normal. Since... Read more
Seals freezer door to prevent frost buildup and maintain temperature. Replace if torn, cracked, or causing moisture inside. Confirm fit with your model.
I pulled the old gasket off the door then I used rubbing alcohol to clean the mold along the back of the door and in the insert for the gasket seals . The new gasket fit extremely well and was very easy to put in. I waited 24 hours for the gasket to come back to its normal shape. After putting the gasket in I waited another 24 hours to make sure that I was getting no Icing inside the freezer area. There was no icing so the job is completed. Read more

A tree had fallen across our power lines and the resulting power surge fried the circuit board. The diagnosis was a bit difficult and involved an educated guess based on how the frig was acting. The display was dark unless a button was pressed and the inside light worked but that was all. I had to rule out the compressor as the root cause so I back fed power to the compressor and heard it and the condenser fan fire up. I ordered the board and found the only way I could get it overnight was to... Read more
