First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly! Read more

Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. After 3 warranty companies wouldn't honor their warranties (they said they only covered mechanical failures) I turned to the internet and found this site. Not all of the parts have pictures so I chatted with a person on the site who gave me the part. Ordered it (even though I was nervous it wouldn't be right). I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part. The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. BTW it was not the thermal fuse. All the online videos say this is the first thing to look for when the dryer will not start. Be sure to check with the person... Read more
