I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it... Read more

Oven won't heat properly or overheats? A faulty temperature sensor may be the cause. Simple 15-minute DIY repair with basic tools and our video guide.
I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... I found the service manual on the top of the Oven on the left behind the control panel. It has values for testing (Ohms of resistance)... Read more
Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more

Oven not heating or broiling? A failed broil element often shows blistering or breaks. DIY repair in under 30 minutes with a screwdriver.
Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. It came the day after, then I replaced the part, meaning, I DID THE WORK! (My wife was so impressed- lol) Easy as pie... but we made and had a much nicer roast the day after.... Read more
Replacement inner glass panel for oven doors. Installs between outer and inner door layers. Needed when cracked, shattered, or broken. 17x10 inches.
The most difficult part was figuring out how to take the door off as the manual instructions were not clear. Thank you, YouTube for your help. This door doesn't have the more modern release latches. You open the door all the way and stick Allen wrenches into the holes that appear by the joint of the latch. When you close the door to 3/4 or 7/8 closed, the latches are released from the unit and by holding the sides of the door, you pull it out. The whole replacement would take around an hour,... Illuminates the microwave interior for visibility during cooking. Replace when burnt out or dim. Confirm fit with your model number before ordering.
Removed the Microwave from the wall, then had to almost completely disassemble the sheet metal surrounding the microwave unit itself. Lots of screws and wires to work around. Takes 2 people to remove the microwave and set it on a stand outside of the wall unit. Once you get to the light bulb, the replacement is easy, just very challenging to get to the light bulb. Oven won't heat after self-clean cycle? A blown thermal fuse cuts power when temps spike. Easy DIY fix—disconnect power, test with multimeter, replace.
This is for the Whirlpool in-wall double oven GBD307PDS10. No power and the door locked after the shutdown before the self-cleaning cycle was over. I watched some video and this is a known issue the fuses blow during self-cleaning. I opened the door with a 90-degree hook, an easy task. Took doors off (watch video from others), unscrewed from the wall, and made a very small platform. and took the oven out (need two people and take the doors off first. The doors are heavy and you won't lift the... Read more
Replace your microwave's broken or cracked glass turntable tray. This circular rotating plate sits on the cavity floor to hold food during cooking.
This was a very easy replacement of the broken glass turntable. What stood out most for me on this was the great experience I had with ApplicancePartsPros.com. I rarely, if ever, write reviews but this experience deserves notice. I found a couple other sites that had a slightly lower price, but AppliancePartsPros.com made it easier for me to verify that I was ordering the right part. On checkout, I selected standard shipping but the part arrived the next day. It was very well packaged (glass... Read more

Replacement mounting screw for securing handles, panels, and internal components. Needed when original screws are stripped, lost, or broken during repairs.
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Microwave won't start or shows door error? This door switch signals when the door is closed so power flows to the magnetron. Moderate DIY repair, 30-45 min.
I'm a 56 year old divorced woman. I started doing these kinds of repairs to save some money and honestly, to see if I could. So yes, if I can do it, it's not that tough to do. My microwave is built in above the stove - getting it down and back up was the hardest part of the job. An extra pair of strong hands really helps-for anybody, not just a 56 year old woman. The actual repair was pretty easy. Most likely problem was pretty obvious after a little research. Easy to take off cover, get... Read more
Oven blower making grinding or humming noise? This lower convection blower motor circulates air during cooking. DIY repair takes about 2 hours.
Ordered the new fan (blower) from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived 3 days later. Pulled the wall oven out of the wall, removed the sheet metal back and removed the noisy fan. Installed the new fan, reinstalled the sheet metal back, shoved it back into it's place, turned the power back on and viola!, much quieter. Read more
