The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. This is a mounting screw used to secure the door handle to the refrigerator door. It threads into the handle bracket to keep the handle firmly attached. Replace this screw if the door handle feels loose, wobbles, or if the original screw is stripped or missing.
Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. Ice maker not dumping ice or only works when reset button is pressed? Replace the complete ice maker assembly. Takes 5-10 minutes with just a screwdriver.
Replaced with new assembly and still did not work. Was waiting on repairman and decided to unplug the refrigerator as a reboot. After one minute of no power the reset button worked and now it makes ice. Not sure what fixed it except reboot. Read more

The repair job took me less than 15 minutes. I removed the lower back panel from the back of the fridge then disconnected the power to the fridge and turned off the water supply to the fridge. I then looked closely at how the water valve 2-way was installed and removed it. Then I connected the water supply lines for the water and ice then connected the water valve line and I was done. Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw.
