Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. Disassembly is a little tricky. First, with a #2 phillips screwdriver, remove the single screw to the left of the ice chute/water dispenser. You'll have to get down low and look up from underneath. Next, underneath on either side, there are little slots with arrows pointing to them. Take a small straight slot screw driver and insert in each slot while gently pulling on the clear ice chute. Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. Replacement axle pin for refrigerator front caster wheels. Installs through wheel assembly to secure rolling casters. Needed when bent, broken, or worn.
Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

Replaced shelves. The frig is only 4 years old. I believe the shelves were designed/made incorrectly. I never overloaded the shelves. I called Samsung, obviously, they would admit any wrongdoing. I bought a replacement ice maker from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched the YouTube video they made on how to install it. Easy - peasy - lemon - squeazy. The only problem encountered was the screw size for a plastic shield that sits on the back of the unit. The original Samsung screws were M18x11 metric round heads. The new part needed screws that were 48 x 3/32" SAE. These screws should be purchased at a hardware store BEFORE installing the new ice maker IF the original screws do not fit.... Read more

The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. Replaced the motor in the Fridge panel Part # AP4136543 (DA31-00020E) and temperature sensor Part # AP4136842 (DA32-00006W). I made two orders, these are the correct parts. First sensory I ordered was the correct one actually. Note to whoever, the motor is the same for the freezer or fridge..it says #7 with black marker on all of the motors.
