Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. Removed oven door by simply lifting it off of the hinges. New models of most stoves have two screws easily accessible from inside the oven door, but this older stove required the entire inner part of the oven door to be disassembled and the interior glass removed before the two screws that attach the handle can be accessed. Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath. The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy.
