This spark module controls ignition for the surface burners on gas cooktops and ranges. When a knob is turned, it generates the high-voltage spark needed to light the gas, restoring fast, consistent burner ignition across four positions.
I replaced the existing Tytronics spark module with en exact replacement. These things only seem to last 3 to 5 years on my Viking stove. I learned years ago to buy an exact replacement, not a clone, as otherwise the wiring order may be different. The clones will work, but you may send hours trying different wiring combinations. By using this new exact replacement part I was done with the swap in less than 10 minutes and had my stove working again like new. Tip: A small "screwdriver ratchet"... Read more

Oven won't heat but igniter glows? This flat hot surface ignitor restores reliable gas ignition. DIY repair takes 45 minutes with basic tools.
I researched online and found it was common to have ignitors go out after 5 years of use. I ordered both as recommended and proceeded with the repair. I had a difficult time removing the door from the Viking and went back to read on the internet. I found several posts that referenced the door did not have to be removed. Once that was established the repair went very smoothly. The front screw on the left igniter required an angled screwdriver but other than that it was very fast and straight... Read more
Replace your worn or broken range door hinge to restore smooth opening, proper alignment, and secure sealing. Fixes sagging doors. Confirm fit with model.
Replaced hinges. It was a bit tricky, as you first have to open the door fully and move tabs to allow for removal. I had difficulty locating the tabs, until I exposed them by manually pulling the door away from the hinges. I then closed the door to the 'broil' position and pulled off the door. Removed the 2 screws holding each hinge. Struggled to remove hinges as they were damaged and are a tight fit. Installed new hinges which was somewhat difficult with assistance from rubber hammer. ... Oven won't heat or bakes unevenly? Replace the failed bake element. This lower heating element restores proper radiant heat for even baking performance.
I ordered a new element from AppliancePartsPros.com which came quickly. After reviewing some Youtube videos on the task and shttuing off the circuit breaker and verifying there was no power at the range, I tried to replace it by working from inside the oven. The connecting wires were not easy to pull into the oven and one disconnected and was caught in the insultation. As a result I had to pull the range out and work from the back and remove the rear panel which exposed al of the wiring. I... Read more
