This three coil solenoid is used for the cold water, bleach dispenser and prewash.
1. I unplugged the washer from outlet 2. I turned off the hot and cold water taps going to the washer (both just in case) 3. Draped a towel over back edge of washer and under where hoses coming from water outlets attach to back of washer (to catch any loose water out of the hose or screw nozzle leading to valve assembly, then unscrew (by hand) the cold water hose from back of washer (leave hot water hose alone as not needed). 4. Unscrew valve assembly from washer by two screws on back top of... Read more
The Dispenser Inlet Hose is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This hose directs water from the water inlet valve to the detergent dispenser, ensuring that water mixes with the detergent before entering the drum for efficient washing. The hose is designed to withstand high water pressure and temperature fluctuations.
Over time, the dispenser inlet hose can become clogged, cracked, or worn out due to regular use. Causes of a bad inlet hose include mineral deposits or debris buildup, wear and tear, and exposure to high temperatures or pressure that can cause the hose to degrade.
Symptoms of a bad dispenser inlet hose include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more

Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more
The Door Boot Gasket is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It establishes a secure seal around the perimeter of the washer door during operation. Symptoms of a bad door boot gasket include:
This OEM LG replacement ensures years of leak-free washing. NOTE: This gasket includes a port. For the gasket without the port order MDS33059401.
An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. It was very well done, very detailed, and took you step by step through the entire process to replace the tub bearings and the spider, from start to finish. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more

NOTE: This gasket does not have a drain hole. For a gasket with a drain hole, order 4986ER0004F.
I had a slow leak from the very front of my LG washer, so I was pretty sure that it was just the gasket leaking, and not any of the hoses. It's not a complicated repair, with the usual confidence-inspiring video from Matt. There are three things to be aware of: 1) I originally ordered the wrong gasket. My model number is WM2277HW /01, which the APP website does not recognize. It only recognizes /00 or no suffix whatsoever. The correct part number for the /01 is 4986ER0004B. The easy way... This inlet hose routes incoming water from the washer's fill valve into the machine to support proper filling. Replace a cracked or leaking hose to stop drips, prevent water damage, and restore reliable fill performance.
This thermistor seal is the grommet that seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washing machine's outer tub. Replacing a worn seal restores a watertight fit and helps prevent leaks that can damage surrounding components. What it does
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
This washer balance weight mounts to the outer tub to absorb vibration and stabilize the drum during spin. Replacing a damaged or missing weight helps restore smoother, quieter operation and reduces movement caused by unbalanced loads. What it does:
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub... This hose clamp secures a washer hose to its fitting to maintain a tight, leak-resistant connection. Replace a weakened or damaged clamp to stop seepage at hose joints and keep the washer operating reliably.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
The Motor Stator Bolt is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This bolt secures the stator to the motor, ensuring the stability and proper functioning of the washing machine's motor assembly.
Causes of a bad motor stator bolt can include wear and tear over time, improper installation, or damage from over-tightening or impact. A compromised bolt can lead to instability in the motor, potentially affecting the washer's performance.
Symptoms of a bad motor stator bolt include:
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
This Screw (drawing) is a factory fastener used to secure appliance panels and components. Replacing a stripped, corroded, or missing screw restores a tight fit, reduces vibration, and helps keep assemblies correctly aligned.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... This Power Cord Assembly restores a secure, grounded connection from your wall outlet to the washer's internal power circuit. Replace a frayed or failed cord to resolve no-power issues and maintain safe operation. What it does:
This hose clamp secures a rubber hose connection to prevent leaks where the hose meets its fitting. A tight, uniform seal helps maintain proper water flow and keeps the appliance operating reliably.
I went to your web site found the part using the model number of the washer machine. Also with the part picture, there was a video showing step by step instructions. They were very clear and was breeze replacing the hose.Doing this myself saved at least probably $150-200. Appliance repair shops quoted me around $80.00 just to come out. Then they mark up the price of the hose at least twice the cost of what I paid , They too have to order the part and come back to install. So the labor was what... Read more
