Remove top lid panel and splatter shield. I didn't need to remove the back panel on my model. Used pliers to lift the old rod up and out. Did one rod at a time. Watched several videos so it went quickly. I've done 2 loads now and the machine has stayed in place. Be sure to balance the machine prior to that first load. Springs were broken and back bracket was bent I replaced the bracket and all four Springs including the vertical one. I removed the cabinet as shown in the video. Then with a pair of vise grips's removed the springs one by one and replace them. The bracket was rusted And bent i used a quarter inch socket with a quarter inch ratchet to remove the screw. I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly.
