I tested the Atc. mid level switch, with my multi tester and found it was not sending enough current to the cold water inlet valve, so it would not open and let cold water in. I replaced the switch, (it was a snap) literally it snapped in place. replace the front face and turned the water back on and plugged in the washer, and turned it on. It worked perfect and has been since. good and easy repair even for a novice like me.. Read more

I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. Fix a washer that won't fill properly or overfills with this pressure switch. Controls water level sensing. DIY-friendly repair, about 5-10 minutes.
After the part arrives, I was double check to make sure I got the right part. Importantly, unplug the electrical power first before do anything, also turn off the water hose for safety. Then removed 4 screw out side panel and 2 screw in side to get lose. After all, replaced a new part and put all panel and screw back together. First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. This is a water inlet valve with a built-in bimetal thermistor, used in washing machines to control the flow of water into the tub. Based on recommendation to replace the clutch if clothes aren't spinning dry enough, I ordered a new clutch. Upon disassembly, I observed no Ring Wire/C-Clip and that the bearing appeared worn. Where did the clip go? Well, the bearing wore down such that it wore out the clip and bearing up to the sleeve of the shaft. Knocked out the old bearing, tapped in the new and was done. Replacement water fill hoses for washing machines. Connect home water supply to washer. Replace when cracked, leaking, or showing rubber wear or corrosion.
Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad.
