Fix a washer that won't spin or agitate with a new transmission. Common symptoms include loud clunking noises or clothes staying wet after cycles.
Using appliancepartspros.com site took washer apart to diagnose bad clutch. The clutch was bad but once inside I noticed grease everywhere and after a quick online chat with rep. determined gear case was leaking and needed replacement. Replaced clutch & gear case. Followed video tutorial and took a little more than 30 minutes start to finish for me - I have no experience. The most difficult part for me was actually just getting the retainer ring (little wire) to secure clutch in place-took... Read more
Replacement tub suspension pads for washing machines. Install under the tub to cushion and stabilize during spin cycles. Replace if cracked or missing.
First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads. Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. The springs appeared OK but I couldn't tell of they were fatigued or not and all were in place but the tub suspension pads were definitely worn out. I then put the machine back together and went... Suspension bearing kit supports the tub assembly in top-load washers. Replace if bearings are worn, cracked, or causing excessive tub movement or noise.
After looking up the model number of my washing machine on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the suspension rod kit, two sets of tub centering springs (one spring per corner), a Ring-Tub (mine was breaking apart due to banging around) and a spare suspension bearing kit in case I need it later. I spoke to a very helpful customer service rep on the phone just before placing my order. They have customer service representatives answering the phone late at night. I was surprised. All of my parts were... Read more
Fix an agitator that won't turn or leaks fabric softener with this inner cap. Simple 5-minute repair—remove the outer cap and replace. Video guide included.
I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. I reviewed the video on the Appliance Parts Pros web site, disassembled the agitator and cleaned everything up, which helped a little, but not enough. Figuring the agitator itself was worn out also, I looked up and ordered all the parts for the upper agitator on... Read more

Agitator barely moving or not churning clothes? This lower agitator fixes worn splines causing poor washing. DIY repair typically takes 5-10 minutes.
I had to replace the drive shaft and the lower agitator. The motor coupling was also worn out. The repair was challenging because I had to rebuild the gear box. This step was really messy and I had to wait for the liquid gasket to set prior to completing the repair. Cleaning and prep of all of the parts tripled the repair time. Read more
Prevents water leaks around the transmission shaft in your washer. Replace if you notice water on the floor or oil seepage. Confirm fit with your model.
In reality, this turned into a full-on rebuild project - with several parts orders, not just a simple repair. But I have to give credit: The parts listings with pictures on the AppliancePartsPros web site were really useful in figuring out what was going on inside the machine, and what parts I would need. Also: The repair videos were critical for me to be able to ensure I was reassembling everything correctly. Shout out to Simon, who was featured in several of the repair videos. His "gorgeous... First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Washer won't spin or makes grinding noise during spin cycle? The basket drive rotates the wash basket. Moderate DIY repair with video guidance available.
I ordered what I thought were the necessary parts from appliancepartspro.com as my washing machine wouldn't spin. I should have watched there videos before I began as I took the whole cabinet off and everything and after receiving the parts and watching their video realized I didn't need to do so, at that point in time. When I put the pieces back together I found that the tub was really stuck, it would move but for the most part it was hard to move and creating a horrible noise. I knew I... Read more
