This control panel assembly replaces the white front console on your dryer. It restores a solid mounting surface for the timer, switches, or display so you can select cycles and settings with proper alignment and smooth operation. What it does
Replacing the control panel assembly is extremely easy with one exception. To take off the existing panel (and there is no way to order a button for this, you have to order and replace the entire assembly), you pull the dial knob off (it comes right off, no tools required). There's a single screw underneath, Phillips head. You can then slide the panel up, and then unplug the cable connecting the circuit board to the dryer itself. Replace your dishwasher's front control panel touch pad if buttons are unresponsive, lights won't illuminate, or the panel is cracked or damaged.
This is a known problem with this whirpool dishwasher, that the electronics in this panel essentially die (presumably due to moisture accumulation) after a few years -- about 4 years in my case. The only hard thing about replacing this part is that you need a "star" screwdriver to pull out all screws that hold the front panel. Besides that, it was easy to figure out, and there are youtube videos as well. Read more

Took the 6 hex screws out and simply unplugged a couple of wires off the control panel. Called appliance parts pros and gave them the part number that was embossed on part. They had it in stock and shipped it. I received it within 3 days. Plug the wires back into the part and replaced the 6 screws. 10 minutes top to repair. Highly recommend you doing this. Would have cost hundreds more if a professional had done this. Thanks !! Read more
Membrane switch keypad mounts behind the control panel. Replace if buttons are unresponsive, cracked, worn, or the overlay is peeling or damaged.
Literally took no more than 15 minutes. I unscrewed the back panel of the door, unplugged the old keypad and pealed off the old keypad. I used rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the surface where the new keypad would go. Then I slid the new keypad into place and plugged it in. Peal off the adhesive backing and stick the new keypad down, reattach the door panel and you are good to go. Read more
