My 1984 GE Electric Stove model number was very close to an another entry, but not actually in appliance repair pros' model numbers list. I looked online ans read where the tE error code meant the thermistor was bad. I then found a video on YouTube showing how to replace the part. On AppliancePartsPros.com I chatted with a technician that told me the thermistor on my particular model was built into the heater unit and he gave me the link to purchase it. I ordered new burner. New terminal block and new switch. Unplug appliance. Removed switch panel. Had 6 star screws and two Philips head screws. Removed switch and remember to keep all screws because you need to reuse them. Also suggest taking a picture of wiring so you remember were to plug them back in on switch. All in all.
