This is a bake element that mounts in the bottom of the oven cavity. It provides the primary heat source for baking and roasting. Replace this element if the oven is not heating, heating unevenly, or if the element has visible cracks, blistering, or burn-through spots.

It's was easy to replace. Unplugged the oven from the wall, unscrew the two screws that hold the element to the back of the oven and pulled it away from the oven. Then just pull off the two wires at the end of the bake element. Install the new one in the revers order, easy. Read more

Fix ice buildup and cooling issues with a new defrost thermostat. This bi-metal switch monitors evaporator temperature to prevent frost accumulation.
Unplugged freezer, left door open to defrost, after one day was able to remove back panel, coils still iced up. Left door open another 24hrs to allow the coils and wiring to clear of ice. Then located the defrost thermostat, unplugged and removed. I doubt I needed all the parts I bought but I am limited on time. So I replaced the defrost thermostat, defrost timer, and the defrost heater. So far so good. It hasn't been 2 weeks yet, but I have noticed that the freezer doesn't seem to be constantly running as before. Time will tell. Read more
