Ordered a new Oven Control unit and an Overlay (ours was punctured in a few places -- old and brittle). Opened the stovetop and removed some screws from the front control panel area. Followed the advice from Appliance Parts Pros' video to take a photo of the locations of all the connections on the old panel before removal -- that was an instrumental step to the success of this project! • Touchpad does not respond

Unplugged the stove. I had to remove mounting screws from under front panel. Then Remove the side panels in order to remove the trim. Under the trim there are two gold screws that hold the front panel in place. Unplug the membrane switch and remove the 4 screws that hold it in place. mount the new membrane switch and use plug it in. Then replaced all screws. Plugged stove back in. After an over spill on the range one day, half the buttons on our control panel no longer worked. Well the bake button worked so we kept using that and only using the oven on 350 degrees for almost a year. Well, finally the bake button went the way of the others and the oven would not turn on due to the buttons not working. We bought the Control Panel Part and traded it out. Replacing the control panel assembly is extremely easy with one exception. To take off the existing panel (and there is no way to order a button for this, you have to order and replace the entire assembly), you pull the dial knob off (it comes right off, no tools required). There's a single screw underneath, Phillips head. You can then slide the panel up, and then unplug the cable connecting the circuit board to the dryer itself. Ordered the faceplate and just for insurance a new switch and know. The installation required a phillips screwdriver, a needle nose pliers, and about 10 minutes of time. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros for getting me the right parts asap...........George Read more

I called Appliancepartspros.com they suggested first to replace the membrane first. I removed the old one and connected the new one temporary. Tested every button, then after everything worked I stuck the membrane to the stove. The only problem I had was trying to remove the ribbon cables from the circuit board.They are in very tight. Unplugged the dryer. Disconnected the exhaust hose w/ 5/16" nut driver. Removed all knobs. Removed 3 Phillips head screws behind the console. Removed all switches and controls by lifting locking tabs and turning counter clockwise. Installed switches and controls into new console by inserting into hole(s) and turning clockwise until locking tab engaged.
