The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. My dryer lint filter was clogged beyond regular cleaning due to its age. After 15 years of daily use it was time to replace. In.the process of determining why the dryer was taking so long to dry loads, I noticed the filter housing gasket had torn off somehow which allow a lot of lint to pass through into the dryers main housing. I pulled the dryer away from the wall and unplugged it. Then I used a 5/16 nut driver and removed the 2 screws in the bottom front panel and pulled it off. Next I removed the 2 5/16 screws holding the front door panel and pulled it down far enough to disconnect the wires for the light and the wires on the door switch. I was cleaning the supply hose filter screen constancely, I had no Idea there was filter screens in the pump intakes on the machine. once I found them and replaced them, I had plenty of water, so don't buy supply hoses with the screens in them until you check to see if your machine has them already.
