I replaced the "heating element" which was bad.........as well as the "Thermst-fix" and "Thermal Cutoff" which are located on the side of the element mounting location while I had the dyer all opened up and the element mounting tube removed.......I also replaced the Dryer Thermister which is located on the top of the blower fan.....To get to these parts, you must open the top of the dryer which has spring latches on both sides of the front corners... they need to be pressed in (use a putty... This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute. Read more

Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails. My glass top was different than any instructions found on the internet for changing out a burner. The burners on this one are held to the bottom of the glass cook top by two rails that cross the bottom of the burner assemblies. Removed Torx screws inside the dishwasher door, this causes the door panel to fall forward/down. Having a rug or something underneath to prevent scratches is useful. It's about 8 screws that need to come out, if I recall correctly they are all the ones with the torx head facing into the dishwasher when in the closed position. I watched the video on replacing the switch on a side freezer where prying out to original switch did not look difficult. I then got on the floor and tried to pry out my switch. Had a terrible time (locking tab or switch body hardened with time?) and mangled the switch terribly and the upper panel of the freezer somewhat, but the switch did come out. The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. I also replaced the thermal fusible link and thermostat switch because they were so cheap it just made sense to go ahead and do it while I was in there. I also cleaned every nook & cranny in the dryer, then cleaned out the vent piping- which was about 100% clogged. There is a video on youtube that talks about how to disassemble the electronic component out of the control board so I really won't go into that part of it. This disassembly of the control board will need to take place before you can even get started taking the gray piece out of the console to replace it. We had originally just replaced the door lock and it blew again. Started looking into it and found a thread saying the control board also needs to be replaced. Ordered both from here and now it’s working perfectly!! Don’t forget to put the pressure hose back on when reassembling the control board like I did!! Read more
