• Door latch failure

With the power to the dishwasher on, I removed the six or seven screws holding the door panel together. With the door separated, I manually moved the switch which should close when the dishwasher latch closes. This illuminated and activated the control panel telling me that the problem was in the door latch. I purchased a new latch from appliance parts pros and installed it. Very easy fix for a homeowner, taking thirty minutes. Read more

Reviewed repair via youtube. Disconnected the dishwasher power and water. Removed dishwasher from under the cabinet. Removed and disassembled the door and then made the repair. The last step reinstalled the door and dishwasher. Read more

We have had this dryer since we bought the house 10 years ago and the thought of buying something new, that wasn't made as well was a dreaded thought. Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

The washer would work fine except it wouldn't spin unless you opened the lid and waited a split second for it to stop. You would hear a bang, then when you closed the lid, it would spin. Since it made that bang noise, I thought the transmission was going bad, so I replaced that. Nope, still the same. So, after a little more research, I found out that the motor has to come to a complete stop for the transmission to go into spin mode. After pulling out the timer and inspecting it, I noticed... Replaced the part. Read more

Noticed that the ice level LED was off then removed the ice maker and checked voltage into the ice maker module (L n' V) and didn't get power. Checked continuity on the black wire (fuse) and found it ok. Checked the parts at AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered them. Came back once got the parts. Installed the new parts then noticed that the ice maker started cycling. Read more

New inner drum and front and rear outer drum; although other parts worked, still replaced the bellow and clamp, new door latch, and cleaned the hoses. Washer works great. Just like brand new. Even though matching dryer works, I am going to clean it up and replace some parts on it also. Read more

Although I ordered the latch, lever and a new cup and replace the original pieces the dispenser still did not close. On further inspection it turned out to be a small spring that had fallen out of place. Once the spring was reconnected the dispensing cover worked fine. I'm still happy that I replaced the entire assembly with new parts regardless. Discovering the loose spring took the most time. Read more
