Float Switch Float Parts

We sent an email to AppliancePartsPros.com asking for their help in fixing our range. We gave them the model number (NE58F9500SS) of our Samsung Electric Range and told them about the faulty/dangerous two dual burners. Check fan operation and was OK. Everything else worked except when microwave was started for a cycle. I looked around on internet and found someone had trouble with the door switches. I started to check door switches and found one shorted. I replaced both lower door switches and it took care of problem. Read more

Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. I had the original sensors in my Frigidaire, which were now about 18 years old. The water dispenser would work, but I would have to push in the lever and then draw it back until it found that "sweet spot." I finally got annoyed enough with the problem that I looked online. I almost purchased the dispenser actuator (the paddle), and glad I didn't because it was not the problem. 1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box. The box then slides out. If you take out the third that connects the box to the wire cover, just remember to screw that back in before you replace the box. 2) To make sure I didn't place the wiring in the wrong place, I basically took the wiring out one by one and placing it into the new switch. 3) Place the new... Switches needed to be replaced. Make note of where each screw comes from. They were not all the same. To remove the front panel and get to the switches, you have to partially remove the cook top. Removed 5 screws from the back to release the cooktop. Slid the cooktop back far enough to expose screws holding on the front panel. This was a difficult problem to diagnose. Because the machine would start the wash cycle then shut down after a few minutes of running, it appeared that the cause might be a bad thermostat or heating element, but all checked out ok.
