Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Read more

I checked the freezer and found the door gasket was damaged. When the parts arrived, I checked them for a good fit and the attachment method. Due to past experience of replacing door gaskets, I was expecting a lot of screws that would have to be removed and replaced. To my surprise, the gaskets pressed in place without tools and had a good and secure fit. Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. I bought new gaskets, which were expensive! At least the repair was easy. Pulled out the old ones, pressed in the new ones. Had to redo them because I didn't notice the little flaps that need to be covering the space in the middle, between the doors. So, pulled them off, and turned them around, and pressed them on again.
