John H Blooming Grove , TX May 26, 2015 The freezer was icing up around the door preventing it from closing all of the way I checked the freezer and found the door gasket was damaged. When the parts arrived, I checked them for a good fit and the attachment method. Due to past experience of replacing door gaskets, I was expecting a lot of screws that would have to be removed and replaced. To my surprise, the gaskets pressed in place without tools and had a good and secure fit. The instructions the came with the gaskets suggested the hot water be used as needed to remove any kinks that might cause a poor fit. I placed the gaskets in a clothes dryer for about 60 seconds and they came out without any kinks and installed very easily. I did have to place the new gasket into a pan of boiling hot water to get some creases out due to shipping but that only took a few minutes. Read More...
