Ge oven would not reach temperature set and seemed to be an intermittent problem Billy L. • Auburn , CA • October 24, 2014
I found exploded parts view of oven and looked for oven sensor probe and control card parts. I also looked at great videos and read past repair stories. I decided the problem had to be one of the two parts (probe or card) and ordered both.
I decided that the probe should be changed first rather than involve a circuit card. I changed the probe and tested the oven and it works again.

Timer did not advance on kenmore electric dryer Marchant W. • Washington , DC • October 31, 2015
Replaced timer, thermostat, a thermal fuse, the pair of thermal cutoff switches and finally the heater element. Hard to say what the final fix was that did the trick -- I am guessing it was the heater element although the old one appeared to have good continuity.
All praise goes to the on line chat Pros Erica B and Robin C that took considerable amount of time and effort to help me decipher the problem. For that alone, Appliance Parts Pros will be my go to source for appliance parts for the...

The ice maker was filling the ice bucket very slowly (about 25% 50% normal rate). Steven A. • Commack , NY • July 01, 2021
First I called the local retailer to ask about a non-warranty service. Minimum $100 charge. Figured I would take a shot at the repair as I had fixed the fridge once before.
I used a digital thermometer to verify that the temperature in the ice maker compartment was at the right temperature. I put the ice maker in diagnostic mode to eject the ice that was sitting in the ice tray (turn off and on and then push the ice full lever three times). Ice was successfully ejected. Sometimes the ice...

Turned off the power. Pulled out the stove. Removed back of upper part of stove. Removed old control board. Took photos with phone to make sure I got wires back on correctly. Only 1 wire was difficult to remove and required gentle rocking with pliers. Put the overlay on the new board. Placed all the clips and wires back on the new board. Turned on power to test. Tested ok. Turned power off and resecured the board and back on the stove. Repositioned the stove. Turned power back on. I...

Genuine Samsung part

Part Number: DG34-00027B
The range touch pad membrane switch is the flat, flexible panel on the oven or range control face that registers your finger presses and sends commands to the control board to set temperatures, timers, and cooking modes. It sits directly beneath the printed faceplate you see and touch every day. Replace it when certain buttons no longer respond, the oven ignores specific inputs, or keys register presses on their own without being touched.

Facia panel cracking on both sides of inset handle Richard M. • Charleston , SC • September 03, 2020
Pretty easy fix with replacement part from AppliancePartsPros -- but there's a catch: The eight control buttons, not the on/off button, all look alike, but they need to be installed in a certain order for them to work once you install the panel. No instructions for this and the repair video (by the tech Simon) does NOT make this clear. It took a lot of time and repeated installations to figure this out. The buttons, which can be from the old part, need to be installed according to the letters...
