Washer won't drain or shows OE error? This drain pump assembly removes water during spin cycle. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
Note: Per the manufacturer, the design changed of this washer drain pump changed in April 2025. The new gray casing with different fins will still work, as the fins allow access for wiring.
It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. Watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos to replace the tub bearings. Completely disassembled the washing machine. Found that water leaked past the rear tub gasket causing the inner tube bearing to corrode. Replaced both bearings and tub gasket.
