Ordered door latch part and new spring. You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. The Interlock Door Switch is an OEM part for LG microwaves. It is a safety component located on the door of the microwave designed to prevent the microwave from operating unless the door is securely closed. The interlock door switch works with the microwave's electronic control board to sense when the door is open or closed and allow or disallow operation accordingly.
