I cleaned the cover and switched the wax motors to see if the clean rinse motor was good and ran a tested cycle. No improvement. The grommet was old and very caked with old dishwasher scum. So water was leaking through where the soap door latch goes into the door. I replaced the rubber grommet (and the plastic latch that came with the kit, even though the old one was probably fine). Fit perfectly and looked just like the old one.
