First I verified there was good water volume getting to the door, by uncoupling the hose at the door bottom (press in coupler ring) and activating the dispenser, there was not. (have a cup ready) Since the water filter is inline, and I had another I subbed it. Still no change. Here I made an error. I verified the water supply was fine, so jumped to the conclusion it had to be the solenoid operated valve, which it was not. After changing water filter, flow came to a stop. Would chatter without any water. Confirmed I had flow from the wall supply to the fridge as I broke the water line at the union and let run into a bucket. Then I removed the water filter housing and tube assembly after reconnecting supply. Now the water was only circulating from the wall to the filter housing to the bucket. Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". The refrigerator is about 8-9 years old. GE Profile side by side with water and ice dispenser in the freezer door. Recently, it was time to replace the MSWF cartridge (the indicator light came on). I've done this numerous times over the years, but on this occasion, after installing the new cartridge, I noticed a significant drop in the water pressure and quantity coming out of the dispenser. • Leaking

I replaced the pump drain assembly. The flapper valve was included in the assembly, so I did not need to order that. On previous repairs, the old drain hose was tricky to reinstall, so I replaced it and the hose clamp.The silverware basket had holes in the bottom and required replacement. I had some broken tine clips. Read more

I ordered a filter housing, some plastic tubes to replace the leaking one and en extra connector which came really handy. I followed the videos and replaced parts pretty easily. It could have been done in as little as 15 minutes. But I started getting leaks and took me a while to play with water lines and changing connectors to stop the leak. Then I had to test it a few times to make sure it won't leak again. Read more

First, verified that water filter wasn't the problem by removing it and installing bypass plug. Second, verified that water was flowing from supply valve by disconnecting line to automatic water valve and observing flow into a bucket. Third, verified automatic water valve was functioning correctly by connecting supply line directly to automatic water valve. I purchased this part and was super impressed with how fast it arrived. Rather than try to puzzle out how to replace the hoses on my own, I did a quick Google search and found this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlzd3jTYBNc#t=112 It step by step shows how to pull the dishwasher apart to replace the hose. Tried buying a new filter, still no flow, bought the bypass cap, still no flow. I then purchased the filter housing assembly and within five mins or receiving the part had full flow restored. I saw a lot of comments bashing filter suppliers when researching this issue, but like in my case I bet it was the filter housing unit. Thanks for quick delivery, and easy website. Read more

I replaced the pump and motor assembly. I also proactively replaced the fill hose while I had the dishwasher out since it was decades old. GE now only sells a generic kit. There were about 7 different sets of directions for different groups of models, and myriad adapters and other parts to support all of them. I wish GE had provided a way of looking up which instructions to use based on model # as that would have saved me a lot of trouble sorting out the instructions, but I didn't find one.... Read more
