When bake was set, the stove would function normally, it would show pre-heating then get up to temperature and beep twice like normal when it reached the set temperature. I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. Online videos made this seem an easy fix. I unplugged the oven and removed the rear panel, then found where the temp sensor entered the oven. I unplugged the sensor's electric connector. Unlike the videos, this sensor screwed in from the inside of the oven, so I had to remove the 2 screws inside the oven which hold the sensor in place. I have tried to remove the burner assemblies by removing the torx screws but they were badly rusted, and unfortunately they all were broken during removal. I just discarded the ruined orifices and assembled the new orifices and burner assembly. Read more

The bake (bottom burner) worked after replacing the ignitor. Becareful and do not drop the ignitor or the element will break. I found out the hard way. Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. Replaced the gas regulator and the oven igniter. It was not a very difficult repair.. most of the parts were easy to get to. The biggest challenge was disconnecting the gas hose from the regulator. It had "pipe dope" (sealant) on the threads. I reconnected with yellow gas pipe tape. Read more

DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws.
