Took top apart to find out that the problem was just the lens for the light was broken. Come to find out that the lens is what holds the light in place. When the lens broke the light fell down into the base of the cooktop. I bought a light and lens but for the price I could not go wrong. I cannot believe how fast and easy my order was handled!! Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more
