Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven would not come to full temperature; unreliable heating; heating elements apparently ok.   Stewart W. • Silver Spring , MD • May 07, 2022

My mother's GE range was not coming up to full heat (very far from it), and I was hearing a lot of relay-clicking coming from the control board. The heating elements seemed good. I suspected the control board was faulty, but there was a chance that it might be the (*much* less expensive) temperature sensor, so I ordered both from AppliancePartsPros.com (which got the parts to me very fast) so I could try the T-sensor first. After removing the doors and the back panel of the oven, and taking out... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE Monogram oven temp was too low and it took a long time to cook food.   Kathleen A. • Saratoga , CA • January 11, 2023

In the middle of Christmas baking, I noticed that it was taking a really long time to bake bread. Since I had already done 5 batches and the timing was always the same, I knew when I had to add 20 min, something was wrong. My oven thermometer (I bought at target) no longer worked so it was hard to tell the exact temperature. First, I went and bought a new thermometer to see the actual temp, then I set the oven to 350 degrees and checked to see what the thermometer was showing. It was almost 50... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Inner most burner not working on GE triple haliant burner.   Ben M. • Chattanooga , TN • October 05, 2023

Did research to determine what might cause problem. Determined that it was either the infinity switch or the triple haliant burner. Watched several YouTube videos on testing the infinity switch, but none exactly replicated this switch. Chatted with AppliancePartsPros.com on a Saturday on how to test, but later determined I needed more information, so I posted a question on the APP page for the triple burner. Received a quick response from APP which isolated the problem as the burner, not the... Read more

All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I am an idiot don't be me   Tim M. • Yuma , AZ • January 13, 2020

I broke two of the elements in my GE Profile cooktop because I failed miserably at removing the glass top. It pays to do your research, kiddies. All it takes is a Number 10 Torx bit to remove 12 screws holding the glass to the body of the appliance, and it lifts straight up. I was replacing the glass because it broke during my home's construction. Nut
Genuine Ge part

Nut

By: Ge
Part Number: WB02T10017

This is a genuine OEM replacement nut that is used on convection oven fans. This nut holds the fan onto the spindle. If the nut becomes lost during repairs to the fan, it will need to be replaced before the fan will work. This nut locks the fan to the spindle to turn and move the air around inside the oven. The fan helps the food to cook more evenly and reduces areas in the oven that are not cool enough or hot enough. If the fan is not working, the convection oven will not cook correctly.Convection ovens are different from regular ovens, and the fan is part of the reason. Convection ovens use the fan and an exhaust system to move the heat around inside the oven to cook food more evenly and faster. Many convection ovens have a setting that allows the oven to be used as a regular oven. If the nut is missing and the fan is inoperable, the oven can be used for regular cooking if it has this feature. Otherwise, the convection oven should not be used until the nut is replaced. This nut is a silver metal replacement part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in convection ovens made by GE and Kenmore.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Convection fan screaming like the undead are coming   Diego G. • Eden Prairie , MN • February 04, 2017

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Faulty self cleaning latch   Gregory K. • Bel Air , MD • December 28, 2016

Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough.
