This idler arm and cam roller assembly is part of the blade engagement system on a riding lawn tractor with a 42-inch mower deck. It works with the blade brake mechanism to engage and disengage the cutting blades when the PTO is activated. Replace if the mower blades won't engage properly, the cam roller is worn or damaged, or the arm is bent or broken.

This is a bellcrank ground drive intended for use with riding mowers, tractors, and trimmers. The bellcrank ground drive employs the idler pulleys when the pedal brake control shaft assembly is pressed. A new bellcrank may be needed if the original was faulty, or if it becomes significantly worn through general operation of the machinery. However, installation of a new bellcrank is relatively simple. Only a few tools will be required when replacing this item, including: a socket set, a set of pliers and a hex wrench. The removal of the mower deck will also be required.
