Part Number: 12008381

The Circulation Motor and Heater Assembly is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It includes both the circulation motor, responsible for moving water through the dishwasher during the cleaning cycle, and the integrated heater, which raises the water temperature for effective cleaning and drying.

Symptoms of a bad Circulation Motor and Heater Assembly include:

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Failed heating element in circulation motor / heater assembly   Wayne S. • Georgetown , TX • March 14, 2021

This was to address an E:09 fault code on a Bosch dishwasher. I swapped out the Circulation motor and heater assembly. The video given on APP.com was for a different model, but more or less the same. The video gave me confidence enough to order the part and attempt it. The significant difference was that in the video, the assembly is easily accessible from the bottom of the unit. On my unit, however, the bottom is a closed plastic pan that isn't easily removable, likely requiring removal of the... Read more

I spent a lot of time taking apart and cleaning the drain pump and hoses in my Bosch dishwasher. I still got the error that the drain pump wasn't right. I serached for my part on APPs.com and found the part for about $43 ($50 by the time tax and shipping was added in). The part was ordered, shipped and was on my doorstep in two days. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bosch dishwasher was not draining   Robert L. • Fort Wayne , IN • October 14, 2015

Water was left in the bottom of the dishwasher after each time we ran it and the dishes were no longer getting clean. Also, there was always soap left in the dispenser. I took the DW completely apart and determined the water was not being forced out of the discharge tube and was merely draining via gravity. I ordered a replacement drain pump and removed the entire motor/pump assembly from under the DW. Once the pump was replaced and the DW was put back together, the water now was forced out... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Very little water pressure coming from spray arms only sprayed about 6"   Kevin H. • San Antonio , TX • August 18, 2019

Our Bosch suddenly quit washing the dishes properly after 15 years of faithful service. I observed that there was no pressure coming from the sprayers, and determined it to be the circulating pump. I could reach into the pump from inside the dishwasher and could feel that something was loose in there - the impeller moved when pumping, but I could stop it with my finger. When I took the pump out and disassembled it, the impeller was in two pieces (the front and back pieces that are supposed... Read more

Thermador Circulation Pump Motor
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00263835

This genuine OEM part is a circulation pump motor for dishwashers. The circulation pump motor distributes water to the spray arm to allow the dishwasher to properly do its job. Over time, the circulation pump motor can become overworked to the point of becoming inoperable. Luckily, replacing the pump motor is not as difficult a job as it might seem. To begin the repair, turn off the power supply and shut off the water supply valve. Remove the screws that secure the lower access panel. Disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve. Then proceed to remove the mounting screws from the junction box cover. Take note of the wires' orientation. Remove the screws that hold the bracket. Disconnect the drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal. Open the dishwasher door and remove the mounting screws. Pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet and unsnap the covers from the hinge ropes. Disconnect the ropes. Remove the screws securing the upper door panel. Carefully tilt the dishwasher back and detach the fill hose from its retaining clip disconnecting the hose from the sump. Uninstall the circulation pump and align the pump with the seal and sump. Tighten the clamp and transfer the wires from the old pump to the new one. Proceed to reinstall the panels that were uninstalled. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador dishwashers.

Dishwasher made a humming sound but no water was circulating around. Searching around, I decided that it was either the inlet valve or the pump/impeller. I started with the inlet valve since it’s an easier repair. It didn’t work, no problem, now I have a spare. I then changed the pump and motor assembly.
