Wall Oven Door, Door Glass & Parts

I went on appliancepartspros.com to order glass. Glass arrived but didn't fit. Turns out GE has different part # system that i (of course) didn't know. Called appliancepartspros.com they informed me how this happened and how they would correct it by sending out the correct glass with another order. They would refund my previous order upon return of the glass. They were very responsive, but this shouldn't have happened! Installation was easy, and the oven is good to go. Read more

Very carefully. The official Frigidaire repairman's quote was $250, despite my already removing the door. I complained to the companies customer service answering machine that this is about 40% of the cost of a new stove. The quote was unreasonably high since it appeared that a trained monkey could replace the glass in about 15 minutes. It took this trained monkey about 30 minutes to replace the glass. The oven door must be completely removed from the base oven before the repair can be done. The only caveat in to mark the inner dual pane assembly left and right before disassembly as this part is symmetrical and can be reversed on reassembly. This may lead to screw hole misalignment issues when larger door parts are reattached leading to confusion and frustration. Minor Dremel burring of the glass corners (one mm) was necessary for proper fit. Read more

Due to unknown cause, while cooking dinner one evening, the front glass of the oven completely fractured. Sounded like a small gunshot then there was glass everywhere. Replaced with new sheet of glass ordered from your company. I needed one other person to hold the glass while I secured the bracket to the bottom of the oven door. Read more

Ordered the replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The part arrived in two days with the standard shipping option. Although the outside of the shipping package was damaged in transit (partially crushed, holes punched in side), the replacement door assembly was packed very well with foam padding and plastic wrap that prevented any damage to the part in shipping. I ordered the glass from Appliance Part Pros. Price was right , the packaging was great. I got it in a few days after I ordered it. Very simple to install four screws. 2 screws to take off front panel then 2 screws to take off handle part. put glass in place , put screws back. May need 2 people so the track doesn't bend on you .
