Wall Oven Parts

First I checked both spark igniters (range has two ovens) by testing them on the oven that did work. Both were good. I then checked the spark igniter wiring & it was good. At this point I contacted Appliance Parts Pros to ask which spark module I should order, the problem was that there wasn't a model number on the appliance. After speaking to the rep I ordered the ignition devise pictured above. Installed it and it worked! Read more

• Won't start

Tappen Gas Stove circa 1981 (uses Fridgidaire parts). Unplugged stove from 110 wall outlet. Spark control module located on back side of stove about mid-way down on left side under a black cover that juts out. Black cover had 2 phillips head screws...removed the black cover and the spark module was right there...held on by 2 additional phillips screws. I changed wiring harness due to frayed insulation, replaced igniter (just because it wasn't very expensive) and replaced the faulty rotary switch. Put the stove back together and it works fine. I will be returning the spark module because it wasn't needed. Read more

I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. Then I replaced the spark module since the flame and the burner being turned off were not being detected and burners would not re-light if the flame went out. Read more
