The Spark Module is an OEM part Bosch ranges and cooktops. This electronic part generates the high-voltage spark needed to reliably ignite the gas burners with the push of a button.
Causes can be issues like component failure over the thousands of ignitions it facilitates. Water ingress could also potentially cause problems.

Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke.
