• Door won't open or close

Temporarily stuck a BMW lug bolt through the bracket and pivot opening to secure the door on the base, then waited just 3 days for the exact parts to come in from AppliancePros. Appliance repair company quoted $400.00 to replace door seal. Found model number, ordered part. Very pleased when part arrived next day. Using internet found instructions on how to fix. Soaking part for about a hour in hot water made seal pliable and easily went back together. Hint for a refrigerator that has a top freezer, empty door before removing. Very glad I did this, husband surprised it turned out perfect. Question now is how do I get him to fork over the three hundred I saved him? Read more

I first replaced the defrost timer but that did not fix the problem. Then I replaced the freezer temperature control and it has been working fine so far (about 1 week). Read more

Ended up being the defrost sensor. Ordered the heater and control board just in case. Started with the control board still didn't defrost. replaced the sensor and all is well. Super helpful tech staff answered all my questions... Read more

- Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor. It was a little more difficult to dissemble than the video showed, but not too bad. Got it all back together and seems to be working well. No leaks yet. Didn't need washer in parts diagram - was already on the transmission. Also the drain pump filter was not necessary, it can just be cleaned. Read more

I read the help guide on the AppliancePartsPros.com web site and then decided to test my defrost heater with a volt/ohm meter. I read an open circuit. I then removed the radiant heater element from the refrigerator and see nothing wrong with the element, but the connection on both sides to it, that resemble a spark plug wire to an automotive plug, was corroded to a powder making no electrical connection.
