• Leaking

I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. Replaced not only the ice chute door flap which was squashed from years of use but the mechanism and motor that operates the flap. The old mechanism seemed to work but it seemed a little sloppy or loose. I knew the flap was bad but for the extra few dollars I thought since I had to take the cover off anyway, why not replace the whole thing. I’m glad I did. Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. • Freezer not defrosting

After we moved into our new home, we realized that the freezer was very cold and the fins were frosting over, and the refrigerator wasn't cold. Ordered the freezer door switch and the light. Replaced the freezer door switch and the light and everything is back to normal. Replaced both in less than 15 min with no problems. Read more

The video was very helpful, but my KitchenAid model required slightly more steps. Only the two screws in front held the filter housing, same as the video shows, but it has to be removed from the rear. My model did not have the wire brace, only the two front screws held the housing. Shut the water off and pull the electrical plug. Remove the two screws holding the filter housing in the front. The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. Called the local distributor/dealer who advised me that the magnetic door gasket probably needed replacement (cost $300.00 + for the repair) What???
