This replacement chute assembly is an authentic OEM part designed for a snow thrower. When a snow thrower picks up snow, the snow has to be directed in a certain direction. Otherwise, the snow would just be ground up and left where it is. This chute guides snow out and away from the thrower. It is usually directed at an angle towards the rear back of the thrower, though sometimes out to the side. Snow thrower chutes are made of reinforced plastic, but over time that plastic can become brittle. If it hits something hard, such as a tree or a rock, the chute can snap off and will no longer direct snow out in a guided way. Fortunately, it is easy to replace a chute assembly because it is located on the snow thrower's exterior. Using a socket wrench, simply unbolt the damaged chute from the snow thrower. Reassemble using the original bolts. This part is compatible with Craftsman and Murray snow throwers and comes sourced from its original manufacturer. This part does not include any additional hardware.
