This coupling is the small connector that links a drive motor to its mating component, transferring rotation so the appliance operates smoothly. Replacing a cracked or stripped coupling restores reliable drive and helps prevent further wear.
- Connects the motor shaft to the driven part to transmit torque
- Maintains alignment to reduce wobble and slippage
- Failure signs can include no movement, intermittent operation, clicking/grinding, or visible cracks/rounding
- Restores consistent motion of the connected part once replaced
What's included: 1 coupling Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and shut off water/gas if applicable) before servicing
- Access the drive area and remove any covers/tray/drive components as needed
- Pull the old coupling straight off the keyed or D-shaped shaft; clean and inspect the shaft
- Align and press the new coupling fully onto the shaft, reassemble, and test
