General Electric Range / Cooktop / Oven Guide

The Oven Drawer Glide is an OEM replacement part for GE electric and gas ranges. It functions as the suspension mechanism facilitating smooth extension and retraction of range drawer shelves.

Causes of a bad drawer glide can include wear from years of use, damage from heavy pots or pans straining the glide, or loose mounting fixtures failing to securely support shelf weight.

Symptoms of a bad drawer glide include:

• Difficulty accessing or storing items within drawers
• Squeaking or grinding noises when opening/closing
• Drawers failing to fully extend or retract
• Risk of entire drawer assembly detaching over time

This OEM GE part is also compatible with some Hotpoint, RCA and select Kenmore electric and gas range models.

Left side

This right-side drawer glide supports and guides the lower drawer on your range so it opens and closes smoothly. Replace a worn or broken glide to restore easy operation and keep the drawer aligned. What it does:

• Mounts to the cabinet frame on the right-hand side to guide the lower drawer
• Provides a smooth sliding surface for the drawer rail
• Helps keep the drawer level and properly aligned
• Common symptoms: drawer hard to open/close, rubs or binds, sags, or comes off track

• Disconnect power and let the appliance cool; for gas ranges, also shut off gas supply
• Remove the lower drawer to access the side glides
• Note right-side orientation; release or unfasten the old glide and install the new one in the same position
• Reinstall the drawer and check for smooth, level travel

This drawer wedge aligns and stabilizes the lower drawer so it opens and closes smoothly and sits flush. Replacing a worn or missing wedge helps eliminate wobble, rubbing, and gaps for better everyday operation.

• Acts as a spacer/stop to reduce vibration and metal-to-metal contact

• Disconnect power and allow the appliance to cool before servicing
• Pull the drawer out to the stops, release the side track tabs, and remove the drawer
• Note the original wedge's position; remove it and install the new wedge in the same orientation (reuse existing hardware if applicable)
• Reinstall the drawer on the rails and verify smooth operation and proper fit

This broiler slide is the oven rack support that lets the broiler pan and rack slide in and out smoothly for cooking and removal. It restores proper rack movement and helps keep broiler pans supported and stable. What it does

• Supports the broiler pan and rack so they sit level and slide smoothly
• Replaces worn or bent slides that cause racks to bind, tilt, or fall
• Reduces scraping, sticking, and uneven pan movement during use
• Restores safe access for inserting and removing broiler pans

• Disconnect power to the range before starting work; if a gas range, also shut off the gas supply
• Remove oven racks and broiler pan before replacing the slide to access mounting points
• Reuse original fasteners unless replacements are specified by the manufacturer

Right hand side

Replacement cooktop guide that positions and supports the cooktop glass so the top sits level and secure. Restores proper alignment to reduce movement and uneven gaps around the cooktop edge for safer, more stable use. What it does:

• Aligns and stabilizes the cooktop glass to keep it seated correctly in the range cutout
• Helps prevent the cooktop from shifting, rubbing against trim, or vibrating during use
• Commonly replaced when the glass feels loose, sits unevenly, or the edge shows wear
• Supports a flush fit to help avoid chipping or damage where the glass meets the cabinet

• Disconnect electrical power (and gas supply if applicable) before servicing and wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the glass top
• Lift or remove the cooktop per the appliance service instructions to access and replace the guide
• Install the new guide, re-seat the cooktop, and verify the top sits flush and does not move; do not overtighten fasteners
• If the glass top is cracked or damaged, replace the glass top before reinstalling guides

Left hand side

This guide & overlay assembly replaces the worn or damaged trim piece that guides and covers the appliance control area, restoring a clean, secure panel appearance and proper button/knob alignment. What it does:

• Provides the outer trim/guide for the control panel so buttons and knobs seat correctly
• Protects underlying switches and electronics from spills and debris
• Restores alignment and prevents sticking or misaligned controls caused by a damaged guide
• Improves the appliance's appearance by replacing faded, cracked, or peeled overlays

• Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or injury
• Handle the overlay carefully to avoid scratching or bending during installation
• Installation typically requires removing the control panel or bezel; follow the OEM service instructions
• Use appropriate tools and keep track of screws and clips
